According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian troops have made their most significant territorial advancements since the Kursk operation, with Russia losing a total of 29 square miles of Ukrainian land in just one week and 69 square miles over the last month. Ukrainian forces have pushed Russian units back toward the border on the Velykyi Burluk front, resulting in Moscow losing two settlements in the previous month. Despite ongoing Russian infiltration attempts near Kupiansk, they have not succeeded. This assessment from ISW indicates a notable change after months in which Russia was gradually gaining territory.
