In a previous video I mentioned the possible future reference to actors Jim Carrey, Harrison Ford & Will Ferrell in 1993 Japan exclusive arcade game SegaSonic The Hedgehog. Cary Elwes plays Pistol Pete Whipple in episodes 5 & 6 of the Knuckles spinoff streaming series in 2024. I thought a nod to him may be seen through his role in the Saw horror franchise. In the final stage Eggman's Tower Sonic climbs his way to the top and at one point is chased by gigantic circular saw blades.
Elwes starred with Batman & Robin (1997) actress Alicia Silverstone in romantic thriller, The Crush in 1993. Jim Carrey also played Riddler in Batman Forever ('95).
