The program "On the 100th Birthday of Paul Nipkow" was broadcast on ARD on August 22, 1960.
It paid tribute to the German inventor of the Nipkow disk (1884), who is regarded as one of the most important pioneers, as his technology laid the foundation for the world's first regular television programming.
