BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend brings thousands to Sunderland for music festival return

Around one hundred thousand music fans attended BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend at Herrington Country Park. Sunderland City Council says the festival delivered a major economic boost and showcased North East talent to an international audience.
