Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said ministries may face budget cuts under Budget 2027 as the government strengthens fiscal discipline amid global economic uncertainty.
However, he assured that spending on education quality and infrastructure in schools and universities would continue uninterrupted.
Anwar also urged ministries to cut inefficiencies and adopt a broader, economy-wide approach when planning expenditure.
