Hockley Heath villagers flooding council with objections to 99 new homes in their village.
Solihull Council has approved 99 new homes on Hockley Heath’s green belt, despite over 200 objections from residents and local authorities.
Residents warned of worsening traffic congestion on School Road, where cars barely pass each other, and where two child-related accidents occurred near the school recently.
Nurton Developments pledged improvements like traffic calming and crossings, but councillors stressed Hockley Heath’s limited transport and overcrowded schools make the plan unsustainable.
With outline permission granted, the developer must now submit detailed plans, but opposition continues over the impact on Hockley Heath’s character and infrastructure.
