Cebu's beauty queen back from Miss Eco International stint
Cebuana beauty queen Gabbi Carballo returns to Cebu after her Miss Eco International 2026 stint in Egypt, where she finished in the Top 21. She raised concerns over financial transparency in the pageant during her homecoming press conference on May 29, 2026. Carballo said her statements were meant to highlight issues for future candidates, not dissatisfaction with results. She cited alleged fees, including a $100 pyramid tour charge, a $200 refundable insurance fee, and confusion over ticket arrangements during the finals, saying some refunds remain incomplete. Carballo previously placed Top 6 in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 before representing the country in Egypt, where she also won a Top Model award and placed second in several categories.
