In the early hours of May 31, Ukrainian drones targeted the oil refinery in Saratov, causing a large blaze at the facility located on the Volga River. This attack is part of a series of strikes against Russian energy infrastructures over the last two days. Concurrently, Ukrainian forces also targeted an oil installation in Armavir, Krasnodar Krai, and ignited fuel tanks near Yaroslavl. The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine confirmed the operations, with President Zelenskyy asserting that his troops are 'justly returning the conflict to its origins.' This ongoing offensive has diminished Russian oil export capabilities by 43 percent during peak periods and has led to a loss of over one billion dollars in oil revenue for Moscow in May, as reported by Reuters.
