A South African group active from 1969 to 1974, they are the region's most successful bubblegum group.The Outlet ‎– Knock Out 1971Knock Out is a rare album released on vinyl in 1971 by the band The Outlet. The album features a mix of covers of well-known hits of the time, as well as reggae/ska rhythms. The band The Outlet (from South Africa) was actually a studio project formed in 1971 by singer Peter Vee and producer Clive Calder. As it was not a classic, permanent band that toured, the lineup of members and session musicians who participated in the recordings of albums such as Knock Out included the following people:Key Contributors & MembersPeter Vee: Founding member and lead singer. Later he had a solo career and participated in the band Buffalo.Clive Calder: Producer and co-organizer of the project. He then became one of the most successful leaders in the global music industry (founder of Zomba Group and Jive Records). Neil Herbert: Key figure in the project team. Robert Schroder: Member of the team, known mainly as a composer and producer of hits. Session Musicians (Participations in recordings) Depending on the needs of the tracks in the studio, other well-known musicians from the local scene were added to the group: Greg Brown: Guitar / Musician (also played in The Attraction). Howie Jones: Musician (participated in The Attraction and Dickie Loader's Blue Jeans). Moose Forer: Bass (known for his participation in bands such as Suck and Peanut Butter Conspiracy). Ivor Black: Drums / Percussion, with participation in various sessions of the group
