The initiative aimed to provide women with financial independence, self-confidence, and sustainable livelihood opportunities through electric rickshaws. The discussion highlighted plans to launch 1,000 e-rickshaws in Mumbai, with a target of 12,000 across Maharashtra, and to expand to other states. They also stated that women drivers help create a safer and more secure transportation environment for passengers and communities.
