On the night of June 2-3, Ukraine launched an assault on the JSC Progress Plant located in Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast. This marked the fourth confirmed attack on the site, which specializes in producing control systems for Russia's Kh-101 and Kh-59 cruise missiles. These specific weapons were utilized in the previous evening's assault involving 729 munitions that resulted in the deaths of 22 Ukrainian civilians. The Progress Plant is situated 347 kilometers from the northeastern boundary of Ukraine. Russian officials acknowledged the occurrence of fire and injuries. Since September 2025, Ukraine has imposed sanctions on this facility. The strike on Michurinsk coincided with the assault on the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal, representing Ukraine's most ambitious synchronized deep-strike initiative during the conflict.
