भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा पर सुरक्षा को और मजबूत बनाने के लिए BSF ने अत्याधुनिक Smart Fencing तैनात करनी शुरू कर दी है। यह नई Single-Row Smart Fencing पारंपरिक कंटीले तारों की जगह ले रही है। 12 फीट ऊंची यह स्टील मेष फेंसिंग काटने और चढ़ने में बेहद कठिन मानी जा रही है। इसमें CCTV कैमरे, लेजर बैरियर और अंडरग्राउंड सेंसर लगाए गए हैं। कोई भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि होने पर BSF को तुरंत रियल टाइम अलर्ट मिलेगा। सीमा के संवेदनशील इलाकों में इसे CIBMS तकनीक से जोड़ा गया है। नदी और दलदली क्षेत्रों में लेजर वॉल और थर्मल कैमरों का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। सिलीगुड़ी कॉरिडोर समेत कई रणनीतिक क्षेत्रों में यह प्रोजेक्ट तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है। क्या यह तकनीक अवैध घुसपैठ और तस्करी पर पूरी तरह लगाम लगा पाएगी? इसी पर है हमारी खास रिपोर्ट।
India has started deploying advanced Smart Fencing along the India-Bangladesh border to strengthen border security. The new Single-Row Smart Fencing is gradually replacing conventional barbed-wire barriers. This 12-foot-high steel mesh structure is designed to be extremely difficult to cut or climb. It is equipped with CCTV cameras, laser barriers, and underground vibration sensors. Any suspicious movement can trigger real-time alerts for the Border Security Force. Sensitive stretches are being integrated with the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS). In riverine and swampy regions, laser walls and thermal surveillance technologies are being deployed. Strategic areas including the Siliguri Corridor are being prioritized for rapid installation.
