Japan and the Philippines launch military intel pact talks during Marcos visit to Tokyo
The Philippines and Japan agree to negotiate an intelligence sharing agreement, as the two nations draw closer under the increasing shadow of China's naval ambitions. “In today's meeting, first, in the field of security, we reached an agreement to commence official negotiations on a General Security of Military Information Agreement,” says Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi as she hosts Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos.
