Eyewitness videos show Seoul protests after election ballot shortage triggers public anger

Eyewitness videos showed a heavy police presence in Seoul on Friday (June 5) after crowds of people took to the street to protest against election ballot paper shortages. Protests come as the head of South Korea's National Election Commission said he was stepping down to take responsibility for the shortage of ballot papers in some districts in Wednesday's (June 3) local elections that disrupted voting and triggered a public outcry. Reuters reported that protesters remained until the morning of June 5 local time after the polls closed at 6PM local time on June 3.
