पंजाब के पटियाला में बिजली विभाग से जुड़े करीब 2600 कर्मचारियों और आउटसोर्स वर्करों के प्रदर्शन के दौरान स्थिति तनावपूर्ण हो गई।
कर्मचारी लंबे समय से अपनी सेवाओं को नियमित करने और स्थायी नौकरी देने की मांग कर रहे थे।प्रदर्शनकारियों का आरोप है कि वर्षों तक विभाग में काम करने के बावजूद सरकार उनकी मांगों को नजरअंदाज कर रही है।इसी मांग को लेकर बड़ी संख्या में कर्मचारी सड़कों पर उतरे और विरोध प्रदर्शन किया।मौके पर पुलिस और प्रदर्शनकारियों के बीच टकराव की स्थिति बन गई।हालात बिगड़ने पर पुलिस ने भीड़ को हटाने के लिए लाठीचार्ज किया।घटना के कई वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहे हैं।विपक्षी दलों ने सरकार की कार्रवाई पर सवाल उठाए हैं।
