In a major setback for the Trinamool Congress, senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Sekhar Ray has resigned from both the party and the Upper House. According to reports, Ray cited corruption in governance and the party organisation, public anger and the growing internal crisis within TMC as key reasons behind his decision.
