Ukraine stands to forfeit as much as €680 million in halted European Union support due to its inability to fulfill two reform obligations associated with earlier Ukraine Facility disbursements. The European Commission has indicated that roughly €300 million from the fourth installment and over €380 million from the fifth installment are currently on hold, awaiting reforms related to anti-corruption judiciary and oversight regulations. Ukraine is required to satisfy these requirements by June 30 and September 29, 2026. The Ukraine Facility initiative offers up to €50 billion in aid through 2027, making these reforms essential for maintaining financial stability amid the ongoing conflict.
