In commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, members of various patriotic organizations staged a lightning rally in front of the Chinese Embassy in Makati City on Friday, June 12, condemning China’s continued aggression, harassment, incursions, and construction activities in the West Philippine Sea, particularly in Bajo de Masinloc, which is within the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
The protesters also expressed support for the country’s sovereign rights and territorial integrity amid ongoing maritime tensions. As part of the program, participants sang the Philippine National Anthem and carried placards calling for the protection of Philippine waters and national sovereignty. (via Mark Balmores | MB)
