Opposition Leader Penelope Beckles says the government is failing to address the needs of citizens while proposing measures she believes would limit democratic freedoms.
Speaking at a People's National Movement meeting in Laventille, Beckles criticised proposed protest restrictions, economic policies and the closure of youth programmes, while insisting the PNM is ready to govern again.
