While domestic consumers utilizing Delhi government electricity subsidies (up to 400 units) will remain unaffected, those consuming over 500 units face a steep 7% to 18% hike. Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood addressed the matter, citing rising global fuel costs as the primary trigger, even as experts flag concerns over the lack of a CAG audit and a pending ₹38,500 crore regulatory deficit.
