The United States military has 'downed' several Iranian drones targeting commercial ships sailing through the Strait of Hormuz, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) says on June 12, 2026. US forces have downed all of them in recent hours as traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded, CENTCOM said, adding that the international trade corridor remains open for transit. Iran has not responded to this.
