The first trailer for Spider-Man Brand New Day shattered global records with 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours, dethroning Deadpool and Wolverine as the biggest trailer launch in history. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, four years after the events of No Way Home, living in a world that has completely forgotten his existence. He is alone, grieving the loss of Aunt May, and has devoted himself entirely to protecting New York as a full-time Spider-Man.
But something is wrong. The trailer reveals Peter undergoing a surprising physical evolution – developing organic webbing and waking up trapped inside a web cocoon. Bruce Banner warns that if his DNA is mutating, it could be enormously dangerous. The film draws from comic arcs like the 2008 Brand New Day storyline, The Amazing Spider-Man #100, and The Other.
