On June 16, two skilled aviators from the Ukrainian Air Force lost their lives when a Su-24M frontline bomber went down during a combat operation in the Khmelnytskyi region. The aircraft was part of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade stationed at Starokostiantyniv Air Base. The deceased have been named as Major Bohdan Zaharulko and Senior Lieutenant Bohdan Babenko.
