A dumper truck driver allegedly dumped a large quantity of bricks on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Uttar Pradesh while attempting to evade an RTO inspection, creating a major hazard for commuters and disrupting traffic movement.
According to reports, the driver was also seen driving on the wrong side of the highway before unloading the bricks onto the road, allegedly to block pursuing authorities and other vehicles.
Police and traffic personnel from Dadri rushed to the spot and launched a clearance operation. A JCB machine was deployed to remove the scattered bricks, while puncture repair assistance was arranged for motorists whose vehicles were damaged by the debris.
After a coordinated effort by the police and traffic management teams, traffic on the expressway was restored.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are taking appropriate action against the driver.
