The AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension with air springs and adaptive damping continuously adjusts to the driving situation. The AMG-specific elastokinematics and continuously variable damping control allow for either a firm sport setting for optimal driving dynamics or a comfort setting for a softer damping characteristic – for example, on long journeys. In the "Trail" driving program, the ride height is raised by 55 millimeters for off-road use, while the damping control, Active Ride Control, and all-wheel drive are specifically tailored to the respective conditions.
The GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ and GLS 63 4MATIC+ maintain a constant ride height thanks to automatic air spring control – regardless of the load. In the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT "Sport" and "Sport+" driving programs, the vehicle height is lowered by ten millimeters. In the "Comfort" driving program, the ride height is also lowered by ten millimeters above 120 km/h. This measure reduces drag and thus fuel consumption. Furthermore, driving stability is improved due to the lower center of gravity.
