Space, Quantum & Frontier Technologies - Live Demo with Calogena

2026-06-19 3 Dailymotion

Heating represents half of Europe’s energy consumption, yet 70% still relies on fossil fuels. Calogena, part of the Gorgé Group (mother company of Exail technologies), is tackling this challenge by developing a pool-type Small Modular Reactor (SMR) dedicated exclusively to heat production for district heating.
Calogena secured ~€100M financing in 2026 with a capital raise led by the Gorgé Group, SNEF Group, Bpifrance and Banque des Territoires, along with a national state support of France 2030 - Calogena being one of the 2 announced laureates of the France 2030 SMR program.
Calogena is building a fleet of SMRs with a pipeline of dozens of reactors across Europe with a first focus in France, the Nordics, and CEE to offer a scalable, carbon-free, EU-native and affordable solution to cities.
This session explores how to build a new business segment in nuclear (heat vs. electricity), while relying only on proven technologies from more than 130+ pool-type research reactors across the globe.
