Andy Burnham says a change to the education system is needed in his victory speech on Friday. "No more an education system dominated by the university route, but an education system that offers a path for everybody, academic and technical, in equal balance. And when I say change to public procurement, as a result of using the power of it, get more work placements for people," Mr Burnham says.
