Students of the Ateneo de Manila University walk out of their classrooms on June 19, 2026 in protest over the deaths of basketball players Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili on June 8. Speaking to reporters outside the Ateneo, Student Council President Jedryc Romero said they were one with the public in demanding truth, justice and accountability while graduating Diplomacy student Bonnie de la Paz is pushing for genuine student representation to the Ateneo Board of Trustees for them to be heard.
