A tragic incident occurred at the famous Yashwadi Hanuman Temple in Parbhani, Maharashtra on Saturday, when a pillar and a section of the roof of the assembly hall (sabha-mandap) suddenly collapsed. The heavy concrete debris trapped dozens of devotees who had gathered for Saturday prayers. Local youth and disaster management teams launched a massive war-footing rescue operation using cranes and concrete cutters. This heartbreaking accident has left 5 dead and 18 others seriously injured, who are currently undergoing emergency medical treatment at the Parbhani District Civil Hospital.
