Social activist Alyssa Phillip and her mom who are already facing charges arising out of a recent protest in Port of Spain... are now facing new charges , arising out of their Labour Day procession in Fyzabad.
The Police Service says their group was not covered under the permit granted to the trade unions.
However, one trade union leader who says he was part of the organising committte for Labour Day 2026, supports the group's presence.
