A deadly freight train collision in Munich’s Milbertshofen district has left one railway worker dead after two freight trains crashed on an overpass around 1:40 a.m. Saturday. The impact caused two cargo wagons to derail and plunge from a railway bridge onto Schleißheimer Street below, damaging several vehicles. Around 60 emergency responders, including firefighters and specialist rescue teams, were deployed to the scene. Authorities confirmed no passenger trains were involved, avoiding a potentially larger disaster.
