BASE JUMPER CRASHES INTO TREES AFTER LOW PARACHUTE DEPLOYMENT

Watch as a BASE jumper's first terminal velocity jump takes a frightening turn when a delayed parachute deployment sends them into a stand of trees.
Courtney Wilson captured the dramatic incident during a jump in Norway.
The video shows the experienced skydiver launching from a fixed object and accelerating into freefall.
According to Courtney, it was their first terminal-velocity BASE jump, and they misjudged the ideal time to deploy the parachute.
The canopy opens lower than intended and off-heading, with forward momentum carrying the jumper toward nearby trees. Moments later, the parachutist crashes into the treetops in a tense sequence that could have ended far worse.
Despite the impact, the training for tree landings helped her manage the situation safely.Remarkably, the jumper escaped without injury.
The clip was shared online and one user commented: "The way that I cheered when you made it through those trees, landed, and sat up"
Another added: "Glad you’re ok! Lucky to miss all those boulders, cause they’re no joke."
