Check out this dramatic moment a massive shelf cloud appears to pursue a driver across the Dutch countryside.
Jelena Milic, from The Hague, captured the incredible footage on June 19, 2026, as a powerful thunderstorm approached from the direction of Zeeland, Netherlands.
Filmed from a moving vehicle, the video shows a huge, sharply defined shelf cloud stretching across the sky above open green fields and scattered homes.
The storm’s dark, turbulent underside contrasts with the fading twilight on the horizon, creating an ominous and cinematic scene as the vehicle speeds past trees and power lines.
Flashes of lightning and rapidly changing skies add to the spectacle.
Jelena said: “A dramatic thunderstorm cloud approached from the direction of Zeeland, and the storm followed us across the region.”
