The government is facing growing pressure to intervene in the copper theft crisis which is affecting public utility infrastructure.
Well, the T&T Scrap Iron Dealers Association is holding emergency talks tomorrow, floating radical proposals to artificially cap local prices and to self-police the trade, failing which it believes a ban on copper will be needed.
It's in a desperate bid to prevent a repeat of the total crippling of sector.
