Air raid shelter installed in Russian town 1,000 kilometres away from frontline
An air raid shelter appears in a park in Kronstadt, a Russian town on an island in the Gulf of Finland off Saint Petersburg. The area came under attack by Ukrainian drones while President Vladimir Putin was in attendance at a key economic forum in St Petersburg in early June, with Ukraine's SBU security services saying they targeted the Kronstadt military base. Similar shelters are common in other Russian cities near the border with Ukraine, but are still rare in places like Kronstadt, 1,000 kilometres away from the frontline.
