Hollywood star Cate Blanchett brings AI fight to Brussels
Cate Blanchett brigns Hollywood starpower to Brussels as she launches a free tool to give people the right to decide how their image can be used by AI firms. The public tool available online will allow anyone to register how they want their identity -- name, image, voice, likeness, movement and/or other personal attributes -- to be used by artificial intelligence systems. "We are now in a world where things that make a person recognisable, identifiable, unique can be copied, reconstructed, and made to perform," Blanchett tells a conference at the European Parliament.
