The new VLE offers seating for up to eight people across three full rows. The new VLE embodies a completely new design with a low, streamlined silhouette and iconic aesthetics. The result is outstanding aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of just 0.25. With its remarkably low energy consumption and impressive range, it sets new standards for the everyday usability of electric mobility.
The first model to be launched is the 203 kW VLE 300 electric. It boasts a WLTP range of over 700 kilometers and features an electric drive unit with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) on the front axle. Later this year, the 310 kW VLE 400 4MATIC electric will follow as the most powerful version in the series. With an additional high-performance electric motor on the rear axle, it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Both models feature new NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) battery technology with a usable energy capacity of 115 kWh. Next year, two models with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries will follow, offering a usable energy capacity of 80 kWh. Thanks to 800-volt technology, the VLE can be charged at over 300 kW and recharged with up to 355 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes. Low energy consumption and ultra-fast charging make journeys particularly time-efficient and effortless.
