US President Donald Trump kicked off celebrations for the 250th anniversary of American independence on Wednesday (June 24), headlining the opening of the “Great American State Fair” on the National Mall.
The 16-day fair runs from June 25 to July 10, 2026 and aims to showcase exhibits from all US states and territories.
Trump said the fair marked the beginning of “the most unforgettable birthday party any country has ever seen.”
Military flyovers featuring a B-2 stealth bomber and F-35 fighter jets marked the opening event.
