Jurors involved in the federal arson case against Jonathan Rinderknecht will reconvene on Friday after informing a Los Angeles court that they are unable to achieve a unanimous decision. The 30-year-old defendant has entered a plea of not guilty to three federal offenses related to the Lachman Fire, which authorities allege later flared up as the Palisades Fire. This catastrophic incident resulted in 12 fatalities and devastated numerous homes and businesses in Pacific Palisades. Following 14 hours of deliberation and the testimony of over 30 witnesses for the prosecution, the court is now considering additional guidance or the possibility of a mistrial.
