According to Maxim Timchenko, the CEO of DTEK, Ukraine's energy infrastructure is anticipated to be in a stronger position for the upcoming winter season. During a reconstruction conference held in Poland, Timchenko noted that the nation has derived important insights from the previous winter, which saw a series of Russian drone and missile attacks leading to widespread power outages. Since February 2022, the Ukrainian energy ministry reports that Russia has conducted over 6,194 strikes on energy installations. Additionally, Kyiv is targeting an increase in renewable energy generation from 11% to 27% by 2030. The forthcoming heating season will serve as a crucial test for Ukraine's revitalized energy grid and its overall resilience.
