Nedlands MP Jonathan Huston has sensationally quit the Liberal Party after he and leader Basil Zempilas couldn't agree to a key policy idea. He plans to remain in state parliament as the lower house's only independent, leaving the Liberals' position as the major opposition party on a knife edge.
