He also criticized a $14.7 million restoration of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which later faced algae and maintenance issues, alongside attempts to add Trump's name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Beyond real estate, Biden expressed deep frustration over Trump's defense of the January 6th Capitol rioters, referencing past attempts to compensate individuals involved in those events. The White House has not yet formally responded to the remarks.
