Part 3: One of the best known secrets in Nintendo video games may be shown as a pattern of information in the 1985 sci-fi comedy film Back To The Future. The first world (Grass Land) fortress location of one of three warp whistles hidden throughout the video game Super Mario Bros. 3 was famously shown in the ending tournament scene of 1989 adventure comedy The Wizard.
- Actual Nintendo games can be seen in Back To The Future Part II (1989) in the antique shop window in the movie opening in 2015. Boxes for Jaws, R.C. PRO-AM & Burgertime are visible.
- Wild Gunman arcade cabinet is present and involved in a scene in this sequel. The NES version used one of the more popular add-on inputs for the system, the Light Zapper. The Power Glove, another majorly hyped Nintendo controller accessory was shown in The Wizard (1989).
- The Back To The Future movies became Nintendo games themselves, courtesy publisher LJN.
- Doc Brown actor Christopher Lloyd has a huge connection to Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. through his role in 1988 live action / animation film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Bob Hoskins played detective Eddie Valiant in this and later played Mario in the 1993 live action Super Mario Bros. movie.
