A husband, Bhagavat, who was a soldier, brutally murdered his wife Sanjana after she questioned him about his extramarital affair. The incident occurred just two years after their marriage. He lured her under the pretext of visiting a temple at Mailar Mala, stopped at a petrol pump, and then attacked her with fire in a remote forest area. Sanjana succumbed to her severe burn injuries despite medical treatment. The case has left the family in grief and shock. The incident took place in the Bidar region.
