This action coincides with reports from US Central Command indicating that it has redirected 94 commercial vessels and incapacitated four others while enforcing a blockade aimed at limiting Iranian port operations. Iran asserts that vessels must obtain coordination from the IRGC for safe passage, a stance that the State Department has categorically deemed incompatible with achieving a sustainable diplomatic resolution.
