Ukraine struck the Slavyansk-na-Kubani oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region and "reached" a refinery in the Yaroslavl region overnight, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed, calling the strikes part of Kyiv's "long-range sanctions" campaign against Moscow. Krasnodar's governor confirmed fire damage to an electric transmission line and gas pipe at the Slavyansk facility, which supplies fuel to Russian-occupied Crimea and has a capacity of about 100,000 barrels a day. The refinery has been struck repeatedly since the war began, with Ukrainian officials saying the long-range campaign is designed to choke fuel supplies critical to Russia's continued military operations.
