The consumer watchdog has exercised new powers to block the opening of a Coles supermarket in the west Australian city of Kalgoorlie-boulder. The ACCC has spent the past six months assessing the supermarket giant's plan to lease a site near the city's airport. And it's now formally decided to oppose the opening of the store.
