The Philippine National Police on July 1, 2026 say the kidnap-slay of Abuyog, Leyte vice mayor James Bohol, and his son can now be considered a closed case following the arrest of three suspects in Pasay City on July 1, 2026. The PNP said prior to the arrest, the suspects sent surrender feelers to authorities.
