राम मंदिर के लिए मिले चंदे में कथित चोरी के मामले पर बीजेपी नेता और बजरंग दल के संस्थापक विनय कटियार ने कहा, "यह साफ़ है कि पैसे का गबन हुआ है। मैंने इस मामले पर मोदी जी से बात की और उन्होंने पूछा कि आगे क्या होगा। मैंने उनसे कहा कि सब ठीक हो जाएगा। हो सकता है कि आने वाले दिनों में चंपत राय, गोपाल राव और अनिल मिश्रा को जेल जाना पड़े।"
