Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released footage of a large-scale military exercise simulating a missile strike on a full-scale mock-up of the U.S. Al Dhafra Air Base in the Gulf region.
The drill, conducted at a training ground in Iran around February 2026, reportedly featured a detailed replica of the base built using satellite imagery. The site included runways, hangars, aircraft shelters, and bunker structures designed to closely resemble the real U.S. installation in the United Arab Emirates.
According to reports, more than a thousand IRGC personnel took part in the exercise, using mobile missile launchers, tactical ballistic missiles, and drone units to simulate coordinated strike operations.
The missiles used in the drill were reportedly from Iran’s Fateh and Qiam series, with claims of upgraded bunker-penetrating capabilities and precision targeting systems.
Iranian officials described the exercise as a deterrence message, demonstrating that key U.S. military assets in the region remain within strike range in case of escalation.
Al Dhafra Air Base is a major U.S. military hub supporting surveillance, fighter operations, and regional command missions across the Middle East.
While Iranian sources stress this was a training exercise and not a real attack, the scale and realism of the simulation have drawn international attention amid ongoing regional tensions.
